Reformer & Wunda Chair · Johor Bahru

Most of our members had never done Pilates before their first class.

Classes are small on purpose. Your instructor watches your form the entire session — not just when you raise your hand.

Why we cap the class

On a Reformer, small details decide everything.

Whether an exercise works or irritates your back often comes down to a few degrees at the hip. You can't see that yourself — and in a room of twenty, nobody else can either.

So our instructors spend the session moving between machines: changing springs, fixing a grip, finding the muscle you're not using.

The environment is very welcoming and the space is clean and well maintained. The instructor Yuki is patient and professional, and she always checks our form to make sure we are doing the movements correctly. Even as a beginner, I felt comfortable joining the class.

Your first class

Here's exactly how it goes.

Not knowing what you're walking into is the main reason people put this off. So — three things, in order.

1

Arrive 10 minutes early

Shoes off at the door. We'll show you the changing room, the lockers and where the water is.

2

Tell us about your body

An old knee, a stiff neck, a back that plays up. It changes what your instructor asks of you, and she'd rather know beforehand.

3

You'll be shown everything

Straps, springs, how to stop. Then 55 minutes in which you'll be corrected several times — which is the thing you're paying for.

Grip socks are the only thing to bring. Forget them and we sell a pair for RM15.

New members

Three ways to try us.

Pilates rarely clicks on the first class. It usually clicks on the third — which is why we'd point you at the middle option.

Inside a class

This is what an hour with us looks like.

No mirrors full of strangers, no back row to hide in. Just a few machines, and an instructor close enough to move your ribcage a centimetre.

Questions we get every week

The honest answers.

I've genuinely never done Pilates. Will I be lost?

No. Most of our members walked in the same way. Book Reformer Basic or Chair Basic — both assume you've never touched the equipment, and your instructor will set your machine up with you before the class starts.

I'm not flexible and I'm not particularly fit.

Neither of those is a requirement. Pilates builds control and strength through range you already have — flexibility comes out of it, rather than being something you need going in. Every exercise has a lighter version, and you'll be given it if you need it.

What do I wear?

Anything you can move in — leggings and a fitted top work well, because loose clothing makes it harder for your instructor to see what your body is doing. Grip socks are the one requirement. We sell them at RM15 a pair if you forget.

How many people are in a class?

Small — one person per machine, and the room is sized so your instructor can reach everyone in a session. A class runs with a minimum of 2 people; if it falls below that we'll message you at least 12 hours ahead and your credit goes straight back.

I'm coming from Singapore. Is it worth the drive?

That's your call, but for what it's worth: we're at Block C, #03-22 in Eco Palladium with free parking in the building, so you're not hunting for a bay after the checkpoint. A lot of our Singapore members book two classes on the same trip.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel more than 24 hours before the class and your credit returns automatically. Later than that, or a no-show, and the credit is used. It's the only way to keep spots available for people on the waitlist.

How is this different from yoga?

Yoga is mostly bodyweight and holds. Reformer Pilates uses a spring-loaded carriage, so the machine can either assist you or resist you depending on how it's set. That's what makes it workable for a complete beginner and still hard for someone strong.

Can I do one-to-one instead of a group class?

Yes. A 1:1 private trial is RM160, and a 1:2 duet trial is RM210 for the pair. Worth considering if you're working around an injury, or if you'd rather learn the equipment without anyone else in the room. Mention it on WhatsApp and we'll talk it through.
